Comments:

Life has been grand. After graduation, attended Wooster Business College and met my future husband, Ed. We married 7/21/62 and we had our 1st child 8/7/1963, became foster parents in 1970, adopted a set of twins at the age of 4 in 1972. Ed worked in transportation management. In 1973 I was hired by Krogers as a cake decorator for the pilot program to have in-house cake decorating. In 1976, Ed and I were hired to set up and manage a branch trucking terminal for B.J. McAdams, Inc. in Wooster running 75 trucks with 155 drivers coast-to-coast. After the kids graduated, in 1987, Ed accepted a management position for National Freight in Jacksonville, FL. There I worked as a secretary and went on to start Gospel Light Ministries, Inc. in 1989. The ministry included a Christian radio broadcast on local WXTL plus 9 other stations from Georgia to Alaska, recorded 2 Southern Gospel Albums and traveled weekends ministering in song until 1993 when we moved back north. We lived in the Nashville area for 1 year and then in Louisville, KY from 1994 to 2004, where I worked as a secretary for Sears Credit Card Center and then for the Louisville Fire and Rescue, Arson Bureau.
For health reasons, in 2004 we moved to Central Florida where I went to work for a builder/developer and both Ed and I got our Florida Real Estate Licenses. We teamed up as the Dream Catchers and specialize in Senior Real Estate and the Active Adult Communities.

Well, time goes on and we have definitely slowed down although we still dabble in real estate sales. Just praising the Lord for his blessings every day.

School Story:

I'll always have fond memories of NPHS that go back to when I was about 6 years old. Yes, 6. My dad, Ed Schneider, was the custodian for the gym and 3rd floor and I remember many trips to the school with him in the summer when I was a child. I probably knew every nook and cranny in that building. My brother and I played hide and seek, hiding in lockers and going through a hidden passage between the 2nd and 3rd floor.

Being a very shy person through my school years, I preferred to be in the background where no one would notice me. However, I remember my class mates and how I looked up to each one of them.
As a Junior, I particularly remember making crepe paper orchids for the senior prom and how privileged I felt to be with the cool crowd just a little.

The school also holds sadness for me because my dad passed in November 1959, our Junior year, and I could barely endure seeing the new custodian where I always saw my father. It was hard, very hard to miss him not only at home but every day at school. My grades suffered badly. I so appreciated those class mates who encouraged me and sometimes made me laugh.

My father taught me so much through the years but I learned something else when he passed. Then i heard story after story told by former students and teachers of ways he touched their lives and helped them. I observed that a janitor could make a mighty impression on a whole lot of folks and that his job was a mission indeed.

Each of us has a purpose and a mission and there are no insignificant jobs. They are all important. Further, every day is special and should be used to reach out to others.

NPHS will always be special to me as well as those I met there. May you all be blessed richly.

Margie
